In a bold move blending tradition with innovation, the Cheers Group has unveiled a one-of-a-kind Indian single-malt whisky—Kadamba Caribbean Rum Cask Finished. Crafted in Goa, this unique spirit undergoes traditional aging in oak barrels before being finished in barrels that once held Caribbean rum, resulting in a whisky that's both familiar and refreshingly exotic.
The whisky brings together the best of two worlds: the rich maltiness of Indian single-malt and the tropical vibrancy of Caribbean rum. “The influence of the rum casks brings forward rich notes of caramel and exotic fruits, melded seamlessly with the classic flavours of Kadamba Single-malt whisky,” says Dr Mohan Krishna Balivada, founder of the Cheers Group. Designed for both whisky purists and cocktail enthusiasts, the expression features a distinct Caribbean character with hints of pineapple, banana, toasted molasses, and warm island spices.
